A: Yes!
Q: What is in your investing philosophy?
A: I believe in a passive approach to investment management. I utilize low cost index funds whenever possible.
Q: How do you get paid?
A: I am a fee-only financial planner. I believe in simple and transparent fees. I charge a subscription fee billed on a quarterly basis (in arrears). I utilize Advice Pay to process client fee payments. Clients can pay via ACH or credit card.
Q: Do you make commissions from recommending certain products or services? Do you earn money from referring clients to specialists (CPAs, estate planning attorney)?
A: No. I am a fee-only (advice-only) financial planner. I do not sell products or earn money when connecting you to professionals in my network. This approach allows me to provide conflict free advice.
Q: Who are your typical clients?
A: I specialize in working with early to mid career professionals (approximately aged 30-50 years old) who are looking to optimize their wealth building strategy.
Q: How long does a typical engagement last?
A: I strive to work with my clients on a long-term basis. Client goals and scenarios evolve over time and the financial planning process is there to provide guidance. In order to see the benefits of financial planning, I would ask clients to commit to a one-year engagement. However, I do not have specific time commitments in my client agreement.
Q: Do you work with clients outside of California and Washington?
A: Yes, I work with clients across the country on a virtual basis.
